Terms of Service

The Goodest Day is a paid product for dog owners. You pay upfront for a bundle (currently around $49), answer a short quiz about your dog, and receive a personalized, locale-specific “adventure” day plan built around where you live. You take your dog on the adventure and photograph each task as you go. At the end of the day, you answer a short quiz about how it went, and we use your photos and answers to generate an AI-narrated, dog’s-point-of-view keepsake book. You get a digital, flippable version of the book right away, and — for the bundle and any upgrade tiers (hardcover, layflat) — a physical, print-on-demand copy shipped to you through our print partner.

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or use The Goodest Day. You must be the owner of the dog featured in the adventure, or have that dog owner’s permission to create an adventure and book about their dog. When you check out, you’re confirming both of those things.

• Don’t upload photos or quiz answers that are illegal, abusive, harassing, or contain content you don’t have the right to share.
• Don’t upload photos of other people without their consent — the product is built around dog photos, and human names are only ever printed if you type them in yourself.
• Don’t upload content that infringes someone else’s copyright.
• Don’t try to generate an adventure or book without a valid, paid order — every adventure requires a completed purchase.
• We may suspend or refuse service for an order or account that violates this section.

Your photos: you keep all rights to the photos you take and upload. By uploading them, you grant us a limited license to use those photos to generate, produce, print, and ship your personalized book (and, if something goes wrong with your order, to help you fix it). We will not use your photos in public marketing without asking you first.

Our content: the AI-generated narrative text, the book templates and layouts, the illustrations, the brand, and the underlying software are owned by The Goodest Day or our licensors. You don’t get rights to those beyond what’s baked into your own finished book.

Your finished book: once you’ve purchased it, the finished personalized book — both the digital version and any physical copy — is yours. Keep it, share it, gift it.

The story in your book is written by an AI model (currently Anthropic’s Claude), working from your photos and quiz answers, for entertainment and whimsy. It is not a factual record of your day, and it is not veterinary, behavioral, or safety guidance — it can be silly, embellished, or occasionally miss what’s actually happening in a photo. Please read it in the spirit it’s written: your dog, showing off.

The service and your book are provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t promise the service will always be error-free or uninterrupted, or that every photo or detail will appear exactly the way you pictured. That said, we do stand behind the product — see our Refund Policy for what we’ll do if something’s genuinely wrong.

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of The Goodest Day, and our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for any injury or harm to you, your dog, or anyone else arising from activities you choose to do as part of an adventure — see “Your dog’s safety is on you” above.

We may update these terms as the product changes. We’ll update the “last updated” date above when we do. Continuing to use The Goodest Day after a change means you accept the updated terms.
